15. Feb 2010 | Award „365 Orte im Land der Ideen“ for OpenRide

The award was handed over by Mr. Ekkehart Von Wick from Deutsche Bank. The jury gave the following reason for awarding OpenRide: "OpenRide shows how intelligent mobility services could look like tomorrow."

The award ceremony took place with a group of invited guests. At the event both the innovative mobility concept of OpenRide for the urban transport, as well as the "Smart Cities" initiative of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Berlin, were presented.

OpenRide @ IFA 2009

19.08.09 | OpenRide in the TOP 10 at international Nokia Innovation Contest

The OpenRide concept has convinced the jury of the international Nokia "Calling all Innovators" contest. OpenRide has been selected as one of the ten finalists in the "apps on maps" category. More than 1500 entries have been submitted to the contest.

01.08.09 | Business Magazine "Technology Review" reports on OpenRide

In its current issue (August 2009) the Technology Review magazine reports on OpenRide as an infrastructure to facilitate shared rides within cities. The German pendant of the famous MIT magazine aims to promote the understanding of emerging technologies and to analyze their commercial, social, and political impacts.

15.05.09 and 16.05.09 | OpenRide at the BMWi Gründergespräch

The "Gründergespräch" organized by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology took place on May 15 and 16. Scientists interested in starting a business, business angels and experts on IPR strategies and coaching discussed about start-up relevant topics. Matthias Flügge, head of the OpenRide project, presented the OpenRide vision, market potential and state-of-play.

06.05.09 | OpenRide Team participates at the Networkshop 2009 of the Fraunhofer-Venture-Group.

The OpenRide Team presented itself at the Neworkshop 2009 held by the Fraunhofer venture Group at Schloss Hohenkammer near Munich.

The Networkshop brought together fledgling entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, senior managers and scientists interested in new business start-ups with the aim of discussing themes and issues relevant to spin-offs such as technology transfer, business start-ups, financing, expansion and exits.
